Connecting worlds

Paper rustling marked the big moment: On September 14, 2023 at 5pm in the Teikei Café in Hamburg the sheets of paper were removed from the photos and my exhibition “Coffee Connection” was officially opened. In 18 photographs I show how the Mexican farmers, who grow the coffee for the Hamburg-based CSA Teikei Coffee, live and work and how CEO Hermann Pohlmann and his staff members build connections with them.
It was a delight to see how the visitors dived into the topic and engaged with my work. The reactions ranged from “Touching beautiful!” to “Through your photos I feel connected to the world of the coffee farmers which was completely unknown to me. When I now drink my morning coffee I will think of them, being grateful for their work”.
